Dr. Omar Elnakeib is a DOH-licensed Consultant Paediatrician (2023) and Specialist Neonatologist (2016) with over 15 years of extensive clinical experience across Egypt, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. His expertise spans Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU), Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and General Pediatrics.
He holds the European Board of Pediatrics (2021) and the European Board of Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care (EBPNIC) (2023). Dr. Omar obtained his Master’s Degree in Pediatrics from Benha University in 2012 and is currently pursuing MRCPCH certification to further advance his clinical excellence.
Dr. Omar is certified in Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS). He is also a certified Child Passenger Safety professional, reflecting his strong commitment to preventive pediatrics and community child safety.
Throughout his career, Dr. Omar has demonstrated advanced expertise in neonatal resuscitation, pediatric critical care, congenital anomaly management, difficult airway management, and emergency stabilization of high-risk neonates and children. He has played a pivotal role in neonatal transport services across the UAE and actively contributes to clinical auditing and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety and healthcare standards.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Omar serves as an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer of Pediatrics and Neonatology at GMU University, where he is dedicated to medical education, mentoring residents, and supervising multidisciplinary healthcare teams. He is a strong advocate for breastfeeding support and Baby-Friendly Hospital initiatives, promoting family-centered, evidence-based care.
